I had a very positive experience with the owner of the garage. We had a few emails exchanged before I came to to view the car. I asked for extra pictures which were diligently taken. I was then picked up from the train station which was a nice touch. The thing I really like was that I was able to test drive the car on a decent run by myself. No pressure whatsoever to buy. They can sense a genuine buyer and shall treat you accordingly. I would also like to specifically mention the car valet guy they have on site. His attention to detail is off the scale. The car was utterly spotless - not the usual spray on dashboard shine. I was able to browse through the cars paperwork and history before doing a deal. After experiencing the tactics of the main dealerships it was refreshing to undertake some straight forward negotiations. I got to know the owner doing our exchanges and nice trust was built up. The other salesman was a genuine guy too. I'm very happy with my purchase & aftersales

This is the second car I have bought in less than a year from them, great service always there to help. My first car had a problem with passengers window a common fault with Audi TT could not be more helpful even though not in warranty they got it temporarily repaired and when I got the bit needed fixed for free.

Traveled to Dundee from north east of Aberdeen to look at a car on the advice that the car was very clean, it was. Took the car for a test, no hard sale here, just gave me a key told me where to go and left me to it. The car was 8-10,000 miles away from needing the timing belt changed, without missing a heart beat the guys said they would service, change belts and MOT the car. I agreed to buy the car, after getting a great deal on mine. When I picked it up the car was absolutely pristine, and with all the work done as promised. For a 5 year old car it looks as if it just came out of the showroom for the first time. Dealing with the two guys was an absolute pleasure. And be assured when it comes to the time for a change (won't be for a while), they will be my first port of call. A thoroughly outstanding experience and service. Can't thank them enough.

Excellent service. Very professional. They are small and I think they carefully chose their stock therefore, if you see what you like definitely go and check it out. You will be surprised. Also, there was no pressure to commit. No manager over your shoulder which I thought was great. I test drove the car alone where I was able to concentrate in the absence of typical questions like what are doing for living and how many children you have))). After speaking to them i drove from Aberdeen to Dundee to look at the car. It was as described by John.

Bought car here one week ago. John very nice and helpful , and not in a pushy way which I liked. Not on my doorstep , and had travelled to view. Car was spotless, mot'd, paperwork all up to date, and ready to drive away at exactly the time arranged. John made it a pleasant experience for me, ( not always the case at some garages) . Only been a week, but very happy with car purchased. Would recommend , and would definitely look here again first, if searching for another vehicle.

Excellent experience buying a car for the first time from Cowgate Motor Company. They were recommended to me and certainly lived up to my expectations! ☺️ I feel they only deal in absolute quality cars and when their vehicles are handed over to the customer they have already taken care of any 'advisories' that may have come up on the MOT thus no short term bill for repairs for me as a buyer! Everything explained in plain language, very friendly and they have their customers at heart. This excellent service was especially beneficial for me as a single female buyer! Great confidence in them! 😊

Just bought a car from them and I've not only received a free service and MOT but also all the advisories on the MOT sorted out and new brakes and discs all around! The car was also fully valeted and polished! They've made me pick up my jaw from the floor on the pickup day. I didn't feel at all pressured and got to go on a lengthy test drive before I made a purchase, The deal was easily completed and arrangements were made to collect the car a few days later, All in all an excellent transaction, I found both Gordon and John to be very friendly and easy to talk to. Couldn't fault these guys one bit! The service and quality of car you get from Cowgate is next to none. John was so helpful, chatty and friendly. There was absolutely no pressure like you feel with big branded car garages and John was focussed on making sure it wasn't one of those experiences. We saw the car online, phoned to see if we could view it (2pm on a Sunday), Gordon the owner phoned John who then said he would see us there in the next half an hour. Let us have a look about the car and test drive. On our return he spoke us through the process of part exchange (which he gave me a very fair valuation) and finance options finding the best option for me. He gave me a time frame of when the car would be ready, heard from him the Monday as promised letting me know I have been approved by financed and explained something that had been flagged which was very helpful. Thursday morning I was able to collect my gorgeous car with a fresh service and MOT (with no advisories!), a quick and easy handover and I was on my way. To top it off, John offered to help me if I needed help assigning my personalised plates once by documents come through.

No fancy showroms, no frothy coffee machines or pushy sales techniques. What you do get are enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, a choice of well prepared quality cars, excellent warranty cover (backed by the company) and a feeling of confidence that whatever you choose will not be a lemon. I'd been looking for a 'swansong-car' - very possibly the last nice car I'll be buying. Gordon, the owner, had a choice of two, both superb examples. although the second car wasn't on the premises, he kindly took us to view it. After an extended test drive, the choice was made. John, the sale manager, agreed a favourable trade in price for my car and we arrived at an amicable cost to change. All very friendly and easy and my confidence grew that this was the right car from the right people. A date was agreed for collection and my only request was that the car should be immaculately presented. The pick up day arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon, I was amazed with how the car looked; absolutely stunning. Their car preparation man, Kenny, did so well to make this a special day. I've had close to 53 years of car buying experience, this purchase has been without doubt the best.
